The end of second year chats!
It's been a while since I wrote but now I have finished second year, I would like to start writing and blogging a lot more.
So, I thought I would give you guys an overview of my second year as a Psychology student.
Let's start by getting the obvious out of the way - I am not the biggest fan of university.
I don't like communal living.
Deadlines are STRESSful.
The typical 'university lifestyle' is NOT for me.
Second year was a HUGE step up from first year. There was so many more deadlines, a hell of a lot more reading to be done, overall there was a lot of hard work that had to be done. At first, I didn't realise how much more demanding it would be and I really didn't work hard enough in the first few months. My grades suffered a lil' bit but I did get my shit together and managed to get a 2:1 which I am super happy about!
I also moved out of student halls into a house just a five minute walk from campus, which was ideal - if I lived any further away there was NO chance I would make it to the deadly 9ams.
HOWEVER - I hate living with other people. I have nothing against the 5 friends that I live with but I would love nothing more than to live on my own! I think this is a very unpopular opinion but oh my god - it makes me so sad sometimes. I feel like not enough people speak out about the horrors of communal living - sharing everything with people who were strangers just a few months ago.
Overall, second year had it's ups and down's. But basically I'm just glad it's over!
If you have any questions about university, living with others or anything else, feel free to leave it in the comments below.
