Money can't buy happiness but it can buy stripey trousers

and let's be honest - that's basically the same thing. 

At this time of year, that time between spring and summer, when the weather is completely unpredictable - it could be raining in the morning and blue skies at 22 degrees C in the afternoon (like today) these are my FAVOURITE trousers to wear. It just so happens that they are also all stripey (oops lol - you will soon see that stripes feature A LOT in my wardrobe). 

My first pair is my pair of Brandy Melville Tilden trousers in the black and white/greyish stripe. I recently got these for my birthday and I have worn them almost every day since. 

They are super comfortable, flattering and suitable for lounging around the house days, cleaning days, running errands and going for lunch, milkshakes, bubble tea etc. Basically they are SO USEFUL and I have fallen in love with them. BUT I know that the whole 'one size' thing kinda freaks people out. However, with these trousers, I would definitely say they would fit anyone from a UK size 4 to a 10, maybe even a 12. They are a super stretchy material and have a really forgiving waist band. 

My second favourite pair of striped trousers are these absolute beauties that I picked up last year from Zara (soz I don't think they stock these exact ones but there are similar ones available). 

I absolutely love that these are BRIGHT ORANGE. Which sounds kinda crazy because at first, orange, turquoise, black and white striped trousers sound like the opposite of a good combination. HOWEVER, when paired with a plain t shirt or simple black or white tee these trousers just make an outfit stand out from the crowd. They are such a casual trouser but can also be dressed up for cocktails with the girls. I love them and would encourage everyone to buy a pair of brightly coloured trousers! You won't look back - I promise. 

And finally another equally great trouser from Pull and Bear. 

Now with these I have a confession to make - I had an incident putting something black in the washing machine with these trousers and the black ink leaked all over the lovely white stripes - so I turned into a DIY queen and I dyed the trousers in a little black ink and this is the colour they turned out! If you look closely you can still see evidence form the washing machine incident! BUT anyway - these are super comfortable and again work well for literally any occasion. I find myself reaching for these when I'm in need of comfort or when I don't know what the weather will bring - they are warm (obvs being trousers) and also really loose fitting so if it's a hot day there's still some breeze lol.
